- Ethical Standards: All AI development and use within ContactMonkey aligns with our company’s ethical standards, respecting privacy, intellectual property rights, and maintaining the integrity of your work.
- Legal Compliance: Our use of AI complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection, privacy, and intellectual property laws.
- Transparency and Accountability: As a company, we are committed to transparency in the use of AI. We believe that it is important for our interested parties to understand where in our product AI is used. While AI assists in content generation, you, as the user, remain accountable for the final content. We encourage you to review and ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of all AI-generated content.
Product Interaction with AI Models
The ContactMonkey application has built-in integrations with AI models for powering AI-enabled features. At the current time, the following features leverage AI:
- “Write with AI” function within email content blocks
- Generate email subject and preheader using AI
- Auto-translation

Use of your data
Your data privacy and security are paramount. We adhere strictly to our data protection and privacy policies in all our AI development and feature integration.
- No Customer Data for Model Training: We will not use your customer data to train or tune our AI models without your explicit permission.
- No Sharing with Third Parties: Should you agree to allow your data to be used in ContactMonkey’s AI development efforts, none of that data will be shared with third parties without your explicit permission.
- No Retention of User Queries: ContactMonkey does not retain user-generated queries submitted to AI providers via our tool for use in ContactMonkey’s own AI development efforts.

Manage access to ContactMonkey AI Features
The AI features are enabled by default for their applicable plans (as outlined above). If you wish to have any of them turned off for your organization, contact support@contactmonkey.com.
Reporting of Concerns
All AI-related concerns can be reported to security@contactmonkey.com. Your concerns regarding the development and use of AI systems will be processed with confidentiality.
AI Data Privacy FAQs
No, ContactMonkey does not use customer data for AI training or model tuning unless the customer grants explicit permission.
No, ContactMonkey has not opted in to OpenAI’s data training program. Any data submitted via our OpenAI API integration is not retained or used for model training.
No, any data submitted via our DeepL API integration is not retained or used for model training.
No, ContactMonkey does not retain or use AI-generated queries for its own AI development.
No, employees cannot modify the relationship with our AI vendors regarding data usage for training. Any changes require Senior Leadership Team and Head of Engineering approval, along with explicit customer opt-in.
ContactMonkey ensures AI use aligns with data protection, privacy laws, and industry regulations. Employees are trained annually on these policies.
