The link worked for you because you were logged in to staging. This catches the URL that will fail for everyone else.
The prompt
Flag any link whose URL contains ‘staging’, ‘preview’, ‘test’, ‘localhost’, ‘dev.’ or ‘uat’, for example ‘staging.intranet.example.com/benefits’. These are draft links that will not open for readers.
