Passive voice in action items
Passive voice is where accountability goes to hide. This only flags it where it matters: in the ask and in the decision.
The prompt
Flag passive constructions in sentences that ask the reader to do something or explain who made a decision, for example ‘The form must be submitted by Friday’ or ‘It was decided that’. Passive voice elsewhere in the email is fine.
