Check

Rule

More than one exclamation mark

One exclamation mark is enthusiasm. Four is a flyer taped to a lamp post. This keeps the excitement at a believable level.

The prompt

Flag any email that uses more than one exclamation mark in total, and any sentence with two or more in a row, such as ‘Register now!!’. Headlines, body copy and buttons all count. The subject line is exempt.
