Plan
Brief
Map a rollout plan for a change or launch
Paste what is changing and when; get a sequenced, multi-touch plan with channels, owners, and timing.
The prompt
Build a communications rollout plan for [the change or launch].
Context: [what’s changing, why, and when it takes effect]. Decisions already made: [list]. Still open: [list]. Hard dates: [go-live date, blackout dates].
Audience: everyone affected, in the order they should hear it — executives, people leaders, then all affected employees, with [frontline / remote / contractor] groups called out separately.
Tone: practical and specific; this is a working plan, not a memo.
Must include:
– A sequence: leadership preview → manager pre-brief → all-employee announcement → reinforcement → feedback loop
– For each touchpoint: audience, channel, sender, timing relative to go-live, and the one thing that touchpoint must achieve
– The questions each audience will ask, and who owns the answer
– Risks if the sequence slips, and the fallback
Constraints: fit on two pages; use a table for the sequence; no touchpoint without an owner.
Output: the plan as a table plus a short list of decisions I still need to make. If anything essential is missing, ask me before you start.
