The work of internal communications doesn’t always look the same from one internal communicator to the next.

Someone who sends an ongoing update opens their tool looking for drafts and templates, while someone who regularly reports engagement numbers to the leadership team opens it looking for analytics. The two of them don’t reach for the same screen. ContactMonkey now lets each of them decide what that screen holds.

The Personalization Platform is a pair of releases inside ContactMonkey! The Custom Homepage lets every user shape their landing experience, and Custom Dashboards give everyone their own set of analytics views.

A homepage each internal communicator shapes

The Custom Homepage is a modular dashboard that each user arranges with drag-and-drop tiles. A daily sender can bring drafts, templates, and queued campaigns within a single click. A manager can pin the analytics tiles that matter most to them, so the numbers they report on are waiting the moment they log in.

Tiles come in three sizes, which means you can give more room to the parts of the platform you work in most often, and your arrangement saves to your account so that it follows you across sessions and devices. A Cmd+K command palette also lets you jump to any part of ContactMonkey without hunting through menus, and a Recent Campaigns tile keeps your last five sends and their results a click away.

Customization stays optional throughout. Every homepage starts from a default layout that covers the essentials, and a Reset button returns you to it whenever you want.

Dashboards your team builds

Custom Dashboards is the analytics half of the release. Each user can build up to 20 dashboards, each with its own name, tiles, and layout, on top of a default view that stays untouched. Drag-and-drop tiles let you assemble the exact picture a given job calls for, whether that is an executive summary you open before a leadership meeting, a deep dive into a single newsletter, or a quick read on the day’s queue.

A global filter for date range, campaign, and segment applies to every tile on a dashboard at once, so you can reframe an entire view around one time period or one audience in a couple of clicks. Each dashboard carries its own Reset button, which means experimenting with a layout carries no risk to your data or to your other views.

Custom Dashboards also introduces Insights Assistant, a sidebar where you ask for what you want in plain language. A request to see engagement for your July sends will filter the dashboard down for you. Teams that currently export data into spreadsheets or into a separate reporting tool to get the view they need can do that work inside ContactMonkey instead (all without math!).

One platform, shaped by your team

Together, the Custom Homepage and Custom Dashboards make up the Personalization Platform. The through line across both is that everyone on your team decides what ContactMonkey shows them, so a comms manager, a daily sender, and an executive stakeholder can each work from a view built for the job in front of them.

Both releases are rolled out now across all plans. Book a demo to see how your team would set them up and optimize your comms system!
